What is CFC Youth? CFC Youth is one of the family ministries of Couples for Christ (CFC). Its purpose is to help spread the good news to the youth by creating an environment in the community that is appealing and life-giving to teens and young adults. In our community, the youth are taught to spread the Christian/Catholic faith, while they gather regularly for a time of fun, worship, and praise.
Who can be in CFCY? CFC Youth is open to young people ages 12-17 years old. Children of Couples for Christ members take up a majority of the members but everyone is invited to join. CFC Youth does not discriminate people from learning and experiencing God’s love. CFC-Y is a Catholic organization but is open to all members of by Christians of other denominations. Young Adults need not have any specific religious or spiritual background.
How to join CFCY: One needs to attend a three-day retreat called the Youth Camp. This is usually held on a weekend – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – and is facilitated by leaders of the CFC-Y organization. Here, the people find a place where they can discover and explore the word of God in a supportive and caring yet fun and exciting atmosphere. The Youth Camp fosters new friendships as the young people play games, entertain one another, and share ideas and experiences in a wholesome environment where Christian values are talked about and are actively practiced.
